-
need assistance getting their ideas onto the page in an organized way
-

What is the end result of book coaching?
By the time we've finished our last session, you'll have:
-
clarity around what your book will cover, what problem it's solving, and who you're writing it for
-
a detailed book outline to work from
-
a list of competition titles to study
-
high-quality writing and publishing resources
You have a fantastic book idea, a dizzying swirl of stories and insights that you know could make for an incredible read, but when you sit down to put your thoughts on the page, your mind goes blank. Congratulations, you're a writer! But I get it. The endlessly spinning wheels and perpetual writer's block can be downright frustrating. That's where a writing coach comes in!
A writing coach provides ongoing editorial support to help you go from idea to a developed first draft. The process is a bit like putting together a puzzle. You have the pieces you need for a compelling book, but you need someone to help you figure out what's a corner or edge piece, what goes in the middle, and what's a piece for a completely different puzzle. I'm that someone!
Over the course of 4+ calls, we'll brainstorm about your book's what, why, and who and talk at length about the writing and publishing processes so you can leave your hair on your head and finally put words on the page.

How It Works:
1. We'll have a free 30-minute discovery call to talk about your book idea, publishing goals, and coaching needs. If we're a good fit, we'll sign a service agreement and schedule our calls at mutually convenient times.

2. Our calls (about 60–90 minutes each) will focus on clearing up the haze around your writing, publishing, and marketing plans so you can develop your book with intention and confidence.
-
Call 1: We'll dive deep into your book's intended message, potential audience, genre, and unique marketing spin to ensure it stands out in the market. After this call, I'll share some competition titles you can research to see what works and how you want your book to be different.
-
Call 2: With clarity around the what, who, and why of your book, we'll begin developing a detailed outline that highlights exactly what each chapter will cover so there's no guesswork when it comes time to write.
-
Call 3: If needed, we'll use this session to revise the outline, then dive into writing that often-intimidating first chapter together.
-
Call 4: In this final session, we'll continue working on the first chapter so you feel confident in your ability to write on your own. I'll leave you with some of my favorite writing tips and tricks to combat creativity blocks.

3. You'll have time after our last call to write and revise on your own. When you're ready, you can send me your first 5,000 words, and I'll perform a developmental edit to provide guidance around flow, concision, clarity, and focus.
